From an early age, I knew that I wanted to be on stage. My first public show was in a performance of "Three Blind Mice", at the age of four. I have continued to act and take drama classes throughout public school, high school, and university. With a love of being in the spotlight, the curtain is rarely down on me.

The travel bug bit me early when I took my first airplane flight at the age of 2. Since then, I have travelled to Australia, Asia, South America, Europe, the Carribean, Central America, and through many parts of the United States and Canada. My desire to get out and see the world knows few bounds, and if I'm not getting ready for a trip, or on one, I am planning my next adventure.

After obtaining a well-loved honours degree in Comparative Literature and French from McMaster University, I investigated several career paths, including flight attendant, language school admissions counsellor, and executive search consultant. Eventually, I spent two summers working as a Paris-based Bike Trip Coordinator, leading cycling tours throughout Western Europe. It was during this time that I learned more about fine wines, and discovered a passion for them.

Upon my return to Canada, I landed the position of Sales Representative with Andrew Peller Limited, the largest Canadian-owned wine company in Canada. This allowed me the opportunity to increase my knowledge base, while studying for, and attaining, Intermediate, Advanced, and Diploma certificates from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) in the UK. Requirements for these qualifications include knowledge of viticulture and vinification; typical characteristics shown by wines from all major producing regions; and the business side of wine and spirits.

I established my on-line presence as host of Naked Wine Show, winner of the 2010 Tasty Award for Best Critic or Review Series, and Grape Notes, which is found on FoodNetwork.ca.  I was named a favourite diarist of 2009 by The National Post, plus I contribute to Fodors.com.
